I'm a developer by day, complete goth nerd by night. I've even ended up with a whole gamer family with board games, sprues and roleplaying books on every available surface of my house.

• Malifaux - still getting the hang of it but the models are cool!

• Codenames Duets - fantastic for a trip away with hubby

I also love painting miniatures which I tend to do for my family while they actually play the games.

Back in 2004, I found that I was unable to find character pictures that fit my mental image of my characters. So I also got into 3D rendering to avoid using celebrities and stock photos for characters. If you're interested, I have some of my work on Deviantart.

But my passion, and one of my long time dreams, is coding. I worked so hard going to university as a mature age student just so I could get into IT and these last couple of years has seen my dream finally come true. I've also decided to take up game development on the side, hence why I'm here.

My other dream is to get my PhD in Astronomy...and that's on its way as well with the help of my local observatory.
